At this early stage of the project, the Editorial Desk is our sole byline: a collective credit for the research, drafting, fact-checking and editing that produce each entry. As the contributor team grows, named contributor profiles — with individual bios and credentials — will be added to this page, and articles will carry those names alongside or instead of the collective byline.

How review works

Behind every byline sits a review process with three distinct roles:

  • Standard review. Every entry is checked by an editor other than its drafter before publication — for accuracy against sources, clarity and fairness.
  • Second reviewer for alcohol. Any page concerning alcoholic drinks receives an additional, independent review to confirm it is educational in tone, aimed at readers of legal drinking age, and consistent with our responsible drinking statement.
  • Qualified reviewer for health. Content that touches on health — caffeine, sugar, alcohol and the body — is checked by a reviewer with relevant training before it is published, and is always subject to our medical disclaimer.
